Awards and Affiliations
Several of my pages have won awards or received other forms of recognition. In addition, I belong to several groups and organizations and support various causes and campaigns on the Net. Most of these are associated with icons, and all require descriptions; I have collected all of them here to make my pages load faster.

Interesting Places for Kids

NetGuide Platinum Site NetGuide has screened over 100,000 URLs and reviewed more than 50,000 sites and their Platinum Award goes to only 5,000 of the Web's best sites.

Interesting Places for Kids is one of PC Magazine's top 100 sites on the Web. It was listed in the April 11, 1995 issue of PC Magazine as part of A Guided Tour of 100 Hot Sites.

International I Hate Frames Club promotes good web page design by deprecating the use of frames.

The ACM, the Association for Computing [text here] seems to have dropped the ``Machinery'' from its name, but it's still the world's oldest computing society, and I'm proud to be a member. It celebrated its 50th birthday two weeks before I did.
